Face to face textile trade exhibitions to return in 2022

14 January 22

After the ravages of the pandemic and a half-hearted 2021 between virtual and face-to-face trade exhibitions, the big events are back. We take a look at the textile trade shows agenda for 2022.

Covid-19 pandemic was the detonator for face-to-face trade fairs in any sector suffering a major imbalance in 2021. Thanks to the vaccination roll out plans and the relaxation of restrictions on international travel, event organizers are replying again on face-to-face trade shows in 2022.

During 2021 the vast majority of exhibitions were cancelled or adapted to digital format. But we are social beings, and despite technology is at our side, we prefer to attend face-to-face events, where we can see, touch, and interact. Moreover, this year’s events will be the prelude to the big exhibition for the textile industry: ITMA 2023, which will take place in Milan from 8 to 14 June 2023.

The trade fair organizers have therefore opted for face-to-face events that guarantee the safety of exhibitors and visitors. Safety distance, masks indoors and vaccination certificates are essential requirements for attending these events.

However, the pandemic is not over. The appearance of the new Omicron variant, which is more contagious, has changed the rules of the game once again and may affect the holding of events already planned, so once again this year we will have to be on the lookout for possible cancellations or rescheduling.
