The ITMA Asia international exhibition, the most important textile event held in Shanghai, which would celebrate its eighth edition from 15 to 19 October 2020, has been postponed to 2021 due to the current situation of global pandemic caused by the COVID-19.

The new dates for ITMA Asia will be 12-16 June 2021 at the National Convention and Exhibition Centre in Shanghai, China.

Beijing Textile Machinery and ITMA Services, organizers of the event, have informed through a press release.

EAS supports the decision of the organizers and confirms its participation in the new dates of ITMA Asia 2021. As soon as we have the information, we will inform about the location of our stand.

 

ITMA Asia + CITME 2021

ITMA Asia is the Asian version of the ITMA fair held last year in Barcelona. It is the biggest world exhibition of textile machinery held in Asian lands, where the most recent news and innovations in textile machinery and software are presented.

This event is held every two years in parallel with CITME, the Chinese textile machinery exhibition, and is supported by the most important textile machinery associations in Europe, China and Japan.

Some highlights of Asian trade shows

– It is the largest international Asian trade exhibition that shows innovative solutions for textile manufacturers.

– It is supported by all the major trade associations and industry in the world: the European Association of Textile Machinery Manufacturers (CEMATEX), the Sub-Council of the Chinese Textile Industry (CCPIT-TEX), the Chinese Textile Machinery Association (CTMA), the Chinese Corporation and Exhibition Centre Group (CIEC) and the Japan Textile Machinery Association (JTMA).

In the 2018 edition:

– It received more than 100 thousand professional visitors from all sectors of the textile industry in the world.

– More than 1,600 exhibitors participated in the more than 170 thousand m2 of exhibition. Obviously, Chinese companies took up the largest part of the fair, but companies from Germany, Italy and Spain also participated in the event.
